DOUBLESSE raffle: and the winner is….
.
In our January newsletter we proudly presented the new Peyer bookbinding cloth DOUBLESSE in eight breath-taking colours. Beautifully harmonizing with the matching SURBALIN colour tones, e.g. for use as end paper. Or combined in a contrasting way, like we will shortly be showing in our brand-new DOUBLESSE collections.
Shortly after the start of our competition, the first - also proud - submissions came in. Wonderful books, true masterpieces bound in DOUBLESSE. Refined with great finishing, spectacularly printed, be it traditionally in screen printing or very modern digitally. And, as hoped, in combination with our all-star SURBALIN.
Choosing the winner was so difficult that in the end we could hardly make up our minds. But every raffle has a champion.
We are therefore proud to present the two-volume work BEUTE as the winner. This picture atlas on art theft and cultural heritage was published by Matthes & Seitz Verlag, bound in DOUBLESSE granitschwarz and spectacularly refined with screen printing and blind embossing.
The two-tone nature of the fabric becomes visible and tangible in three dimensions thanks to the large-scale blind embossing. Flanked by an anthology on art theft and cultural heritage, bound in SURBALIN tiefschwarz and also appropriately refined. In addition, SURBALIN kalkgrau for the end paper was used. A coherent total work of art that inspires.
